Pink in the Park

Nothing's more fun than escaping busy, bustling life in the city with a trip to Central Park. It provides peace and clarity to an otherwise chaotic day. Since I live in lower Manhattan, I don't often go uptown. A few days ago, however, my family and I decided to venture out of our neighbourhood and take to subway to Grand Central Terminal. From there, we walked up to Rockefeller Center, then to the Capezio store (for yours truly), then to Central Park.

Having recently moved here, I'm not sure if this is new or a tradition, but my brother and I found a carnival/amusement park where there is an ice skating rink in the winter months. They had fun games and rides for kids, but my brother and I rode them too. It was about 70 degrees and only chilly when you weren't in the sun.

Because of this weather perfection, I was sporting my favourite, stretchiest pair of jeans and a sleeveless pink blouse, along with my Converse, a great pair of walking shoes.

Just so you know, this is for sure one of my favourite pictures of me.

As I said before (and you can see!), I had on my favourite pink blouse from Loft. This thing is extremely light weight and the right amount of girly that I can dress it up and down. I love that I can throw on a sweater with it and feel comfortable or just wear it plain when it's warmer.

And my jeans! They are by far the best purchase I've ever made. I will say that they were a little pricey, but it's completely worth it. They stretch with you in every way and don't feel terrible when you bend your knee. I'm also totally in love with the cleaner cut at the top of the jean. There's no belt loops or front pockets, so they almost appear more like leggings, but there are still back pockets. Versus the normal hem, however, these jeans' pockets are folded entirely over, making it appear like there's a hem, but also like there isn't, if that makes any sense.
