Red, White, and Oo!

Fourth of July! Yay! The time of year where people celebrate our country by wearing its colours, drinking a tad bit too much, and singing along to bad pop songs from the early 2000s. And then we watch giant, colourful explosions in the sky to end this odd day. Isn’t it grand?
All joking aside, it’s definitely fun to pick out an epic, patriotic outfit. White is a super fun colour to style because it’s classic, yet fun and fresh. Blue is one of the most popular colours known to mankind and red is a fresh pop that should get way more time in the Sun than it does right now. So maybe you’ve had your Independence Day outfit planned for months now or maybe you just realized you have a party at noon and have nothing to wear. No matter your situation, there’s no doubt that you don’t have something to help you pull off this patriotic look.

My pink highlights are bright for today!

This red shirt is my go-to tee when I have nothing to wear and I'm totally stuck with jeans and a tee. It's not a bland, basic shirt. It had the high/low aspect, along with an inverse-hem on the sleeves. Not only does it go with everything without looking like a black or white t-shirt, it is one of the softest shirts I own. Hands down, I could sleep on this thing. I've been wearing it for far more than a year now and it has held up extremely nicely.
Then there are these wonderful shorts. I talked about them in extreme depth during the post on my Coney Island mistakes. During the post, I said that they were definitely not a mistake. They're stretchy, which is a wonderful thing to have when you're gorging on junk food or dancing or sitting down to watch fireworks. If you want a more in depth description of why these are literally the perfect shorts, click here for the Coney Island post!
This jacket is obviously not needed unless you live in Alaska, but it adds a bit more white to the outfit and ties it all together. Even if I'm going to spend most of the day wearing it around my waist, I'm so glad I have it. Obviously, due to it's net-like fabric, I can't actually wear it when it's cold outside. At my old school, this jacket had been dubbed my "fashion jacket" and I would always get a few laughs when I wore it. But you know what, I didn't care. This jacket is stylish and unique. I remember when I first saw it, I wanted it really badly. I made my mom take me to the store and I specifically asked an employee if they had my size. I ended up having to get it one size up, but I'm still so glad I got it because it fits really well.
My Adidas! If you have any shoe game whatsoever, you know these shoes well. They are the classic, white and black Adidas. Mine aren't actually the Superstars, but they look very similar. Anyways, I bought these last summer and as I have continued to stretch them out and love them so, they are easily the best shoes for me to wear for all day events like a fourth of July party!
